On the 2nd of May was mine and Lauren's exhibition inside of the Shaun Space, Priestman Building at Sunderland University. The previous day at half 10 in the morning we started to set up our exhibition. However, after 2 hours of reflection and only having three painting up on one of the walls, we had a chat with a tutor and they give us advice on not to include every single piece of work in the exhibition as it may look too cluttered. As well as that we were suggested to lower the height of the three paintings that were already placed on the wall and to not mix our work together. So we followed the advice and three and a half hours later and we had all of the work on the walls, unfortunately for us there wasn't any polyfilla left to patch up the holes in the walls so we just had to leave them be. On the day of the exhibition I took responsibility of getting refreshments for our guests so on the morning I went to a local supermarket and bought some to bring in later on. We entered the exhibition a few hours beforehand to see if there was any adjustments to be made and to also set up the refreshments table. The exhibition started at 3pm and ended at 7pm, overall it was a great experience to share an exhibition with a close friend and knowing all of the guests enjoyed themselves as well as loving the work, throughout the night we received many compliments and praises.
