Steven Brown

Writer's picture: Chloe HamiltonChloe Hamilton

Steven Brown is a Scottish artist, he has a very unique style of painting and highly recognisable artwork. Even though Steven's style is more abstract than pop art i still find him a very intriguing artist to look at because of his use of colour within the animal paintings and how he uses strong and block colours to create the hair sections on the highland cow paintings. From his work i could take away as inspiration especially is the way he does the hair sections, it definitely makes the painting more bold and eye-catching which is something i want to achieve in my artwork and will probably try and apply within my artwork.
