Sergey Vasilyevich Gerasimov

Writer's picture: Chloe HamiltonChloe Hamilton

Another artist that I’m looking at for inspiration in my project is Sergey Vasilyvich Gerasimov. He was a Soviet Russian painter and his work and style is well and truly mesmerising. It is very pleasing to the eye. His work may not entirely be based around landscapes, however none the less it is still very much inspiring towards my work. The style he used was later to be developed as socialist realism. Sergey included a rather big amount of detail in his work which is what i aspire to achieve within mine.
