Ruth Jensen

Writer's picture: Chloe HamiltonChloe Hamilton

Ruth Jensen is an artist based in Minnesota, she loves to work with metal and wire. I decided to look at Ruth after i had done one of my drawing projects which lead to me creating a 3D wire dog. After loving the abstract feel of the piece i created I decided i wanted to make more and when looking for inspiration I stumbled upon Ruth. Although her work is more steampunk than the abstract feel I'm going for, she still uses the same materials I do such as aluminium. As well as that Ruth has also created 3D copper wire dogs which have definitely inspired me to try and use different positions of the dog form.
