Frank Stella - Shaped Canvas

Frank Stella's theoretical practice of using shaped canvases was also something i was hugely inspired by in my practice for this project. Using shaped canvases was an important part of my practice as i wanted a contrast between the sharpness of the abstract background and the canvas itself. I also believe having a shaped canvas can bring a quirkiness or personality to the artwork itself and that's why I decided to go ahead and use shaped canvases like Frank Stella.
